As the founder of Japan Bass Fishing Agent, I have been guiding anglers on the northern area of Lake Biwa for more than 7years. I spend around 200 days on the water each year, with approximately half of those guiding international guests from around the world in English.
The northern area of Lake Biwa is famous for producing some of Japan’s biggest bass, including fish approaching the 10 lb class largemouth bass. Whether your goal is to catch the biggest bass of your life or simply enjoy a productive day on the water, I will tailor the experience to match your skill level and objectives.
I specialize in Japan’s unique finesse fishing techniques and have extensive knowledge of seasonal patterns, structure, and fish behavior throughout the northern part of the lake. My goal is not only to help you catch fish, but also to tell you techniques and strategies that you can take back home and use in your own fishing.
My passion—and the philosophy behind both my guiding and Japan Bass Fishing Agent—is to introduce anglers from around the world to the depth, culture, and innovation of Japanese bass fishing. In recent years, Japanese techniques and tackle have gained worldwide recognition, and I want every guest to experience firsthand why Japan has become one of the world’s most respected bass fishing destinations.

Cancellation due to bad weather
Because Lake Biwa is vast and deep, the lake often becomes rough.
Therefore, we may have no choice but to cancel the tour.
In such cases, we will consult with you in advance.
Also, please understand that we may have to cancel the tour in the middle of the trip if the lake conditions worsen after the boat has departed.
If the tour is cancelled after departure, the following fees will apply.
・Within 2 hours after departure: 30% of the guide fee
・Within 2-4 hours after departure: 50% of the guide fee
・Within 4 to 6 hours after departure: 75% of the guide’s fee
・After 6 hours after departure: 100% of the guide fee
Fishing Results
The guide will do us best to catch the fish, but please understand that the guides may not be able to meet your expectations due to the nature of the sport.
Please understand that we will not refund or reduce the fee due to fishing results.
Compensation for accidents during guiding
We take all possible precautions in our work, but in the event of an accident, we will respond within the scope of the pleasure boat insurance stipulated in the Law Concerning the Proper Operation of Pleasure Fishing Boats.
We will not compensate for any injury or accident caused by your own carelessness, or for any damage, theft, loss, or submergence of your property.
We ask for your understanding and cooperation so that we can continue to provide guide services for many years to come.
